We've forgotten the sun still rises and sets in the most glorious places.
We've forgotten how our feet feel in a river
and what warm sun feels like on our back.
We've forgotten what inner peace and love feel like.
We've forgotten our own relationship with
ourselves and with this big, beautiful world.
Too often we get pulled into situations that sidetrack us from our inner peace. Some things are meant to stay. Some things are meant for a season. Some are meant to teach us a lesson. Some.. maybe never meant for us? But, regret is also a thief to joy. So, I choose to believe that it's one of the first three.
Some of the things that pull us out of our comfort zone are catalysts to growth.
They also say, the good things in life lie on the other side of fear. Staying in our comfort zones can also make us miss out on the beauty life has to offer.
People often don't even realize what they're asking of us. And, I think, we often respond without knowing what it will cost us in the long run. Sometimes, it's still worth it. Sometimes, it's even worth trying again because what it cost us may have been a sacrifice but the payout was still worth it.
It's important to be honest enough with ourselves to notice what is helping us grow in healthy ways, expanding our capacity and what continues to feel worth investing in.
